Tecfiber ® is the new company created to produce technical fibres and to commercialize them. The company Tecfiber ® fulfils all the necessary requirements to produce, in a controlled way, the Didon ® fibre as qualitatively as quantitatively and it is also equipped with a laboratory for the research of new technical fibres and their applications.

The resistance to acids and bases of the Didon ® fibre, as well as its resistance also to electrolysis and ultraviolet rays, and its resistance to temperatures higher than 200ºC continuously, makes this fibre an essential material in the manufacture of filters.
The fabrics made by Didon ® fibre, 100 % or blended with other fibres, for official garments of protection for firemen, forest guards, workers of electrical companies, foundries, welders, racing drivers, mechanics, etc., pass all control tests required by the fulfilment of both European and American legislation as well as of other countries with norms regarding safety.
For example, with the protection garments for firemen, where a thermal and waterproof barrier made with Didon ® fibre is used, we have reached the level 2 of the norm EN 469:2006 in both radiant and convective heat tests as well as in the one relating to exposition to flame.
The use of the Didon ® fibre is recommended in knitted, woven and nonwoven fabrics and wadding or stuffed of protection.

We recommend Didon ® for its resistance to the flame, its insulating effect to the heat and for its essential properties of smokes behaviour. For these reasons it is usually used in technical fabrics for trains, airplanes, ships and buses.
In other uses like fire barrier or upholstery, moquettes and screens of thermal protection, the protection is combined with the diminution of the fabric weight, giving as result substantial energy savings.
Tecstar fibre is also used in the construction of the TGV in France and Korea, as well as for the subway network in cities such as London and New York.
The presence of Didon ® in the new textile products used in the transport area makes them suitable for obtaining the corresponding F1 certifications.
